WELCOME TO NSERC CREATE TRANSIT

About Us

VISION
Smart Sensor Networking and Interconnected Vehicular Cloud (IoVC) networking offers a plethora of new opportunities for smart connected and autonomous cars, smart transpartation systems and smart cities where smart services, sensing, connectivity and communications will eventually converge which, only a few years ago, were considered impossible.
GOALS
To provide trainees with added value in professional development and practical employment-ready skills in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) technology; and expose trainees to interdisciplinary topics that are at the heart of successful ITS implementation as part of the eco-system of smart city.
MISSION
Training and Research in Advanced Network Systems for Intelligent Transportation (TRANSIT) is a cross-disciplinary CREATE Program, and it has been designed to provide trainees with critical professional and management skills in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) that meet the strategic priorities of the Canadian Government and transportation industry. .
